I’d Rather be at Oxford than St. John’s

Tuesday night, walking uncomfortably in a floor-length dress, I made my way to St John’s College for their celebrated Mall Ball.  After queueing for over an hour, we were finally within the admittedly spectacular grounds.

Over the course of the night, I’d passed through the beautifully decorated Bridge of Sighs (adorned with windchimes that sang above our heads), gazed at the most amazing fireworks I’d ever seen, and nearly lost my toes in a moshpit, all the while consuming unhealthy amounts of cheese, sweets, and champagne.

So I guess it would be a lie to say the night was anything less than great.
